| From the door to the moor, quite literally. The Ox is an ideal base, situated as it is at the foot of the celebrated Cawsand Beacon, from which to undertake your walks. The moor provides the challenge but we can assist with the comfort, preparing a packed lunch for you to enjoy as much as the scenery; or space in the drying room so ensuring your kit is as ready as you to tackle a new route. One for consideration is the Tarka Trail. Over 180 miles in length, it gently meanders through North and Mid Devon. Why not enlist the help of our local guide to help with your selection. |

| For those who prefer the challenge on wheels, the area abounds with tracks just waiting to be discovered including the famous Dartmoor Way which is a circular cycling and walking route that runs for almost 90 miles around the DNP. We can hire equipment for you or, feel free to bring your own. We have secure dry storage facilities so you can relax at the end of the day without a single care, except of course, planning where to explore tomorrow. |
 |
| Whether an amateur or professional, the area abounds with wonderful locations to test your skills. The local waters, including the River Taw, are famous for their fishing and we would be delighted to organise a rod on a day or half day basis. Why not treat yourself to one to one tuition, which can be arranged with our local expert. |
